What is the Insured Vacation program?

Can I find a place to park?
Of course, in our outdoor, unsupervised parking lot. One parking space can be reserved for each lodging, assigned according to the size of the car. The service is available upon reservation: contact us and find out how to get it for free!
It is possible to request a space for any additional car for a fee and upon availability.
Alternatively, metered public parking is available on the waterfront.
And what if I arrive by train?
The Ascea train station is 1.4 km away from the property. A free shuttle service is available on arrival and departure: you'll just have to request it at least 24 hours in advance and communicate your train arrival/departure time. For a fee, you can also request a cab service from/to the Vallo della Lucania and Salerno stations, which are served by high-speed trains.
If, on the other hand, you prefer to reach us on foot, the route is very simple: from the station, you will need only 4 minutes to reach the seafront of Marina di Ascea and a pleasant walk with a view will lead you to Oliveto a Mare!
What is the beach like?
The beach is sandy and it usually has a sloping seabed. It is guarded 24/7 and umbrellas are pre-assigned, so small inflatables and toys can be left there.
How far is the beach from our residence?
Gate-to-beach distances range from about 50 to 180m. Hotel rooms and executive lodgings are the closest.
Are there showers at the beach? What about a bar?
Ours is a small reserved beach, but you can find two kiosks, one next to it and one behind it, useful for all services.
However, if you don't want to leave the comfort of your sunbed, you can order what you like and we will deliver it to you under your umbrella!
The showers, on the other hand, are 50 m away from the umbrellas, at the entrance to the residence garden; they are heated and you can use soaps.
Can I get there before the check-in time?
To ensure high standards of cleanliness we need time and organization.
If, upon availability, you need to check in earlier for logistical reasons, it is possible to purchase a day use room: contact us to find out more.
If you have not purchased a day use room, but you just need to use the beach service, you can reserve a courtesy umbrella: we will call you when your apartment is ready and the parking space is free.
Is there a luggage room? And a locker room?
We have a luggage room and a changing room with a restroom as well, to give the possibility for those who need it to be able to change clothes, in case of arrivals and departures at later times. Contact us for more information on service charges!
What are the pool hours?
Pool and solarium are open from 8:30 am to 7:30 pm. During this time, swimming is possible.
It is not necessary to wear a cap, but bathing is allowed only after showering, especially for those coming from the sea: creams, sand and salt are bitter enemies of our pools! We recommend, therefore, that you pay the utmost attention.
Infants wearing bathing diapers are also welcome in the pool.
Oliveto a Mare is the typical destination for many families with small children, who love this place for its tranquility. Precisely for this reason, it is necessary for parents to be careful to their children, in order to avoid running, being loud and diving - forbidden for reasons of disturbance, but above all because it is dangerous.

When is the pool bar open?
The pool bar opens at 7:30 am and is available to guests until aperitif time, closing at 8:30 pm.
Can I bring my pet with me?
Four-legged friends are welcome and are allowed in the residence apartments on the first floor in order to ensure their safety.
Their presence should be reported at the time of booking to give us the chance to assign you the most suitable apartment. Failure to do so may result in the forfeiture of your reservation. Despite our best intentions, we point out that bathing in the sea and the swimming pool are not allowed for animals.
Where can I rent a bike?
You can rent city bikes directly on site; they are equipped with a basket and a lock. You will also find child seats. We recommend booking your bike in advance so you can make sure you have it for the entire length of your stay.
What if I have health problems?
The nearest emergency room is at San Luca in Vallo della Lucania, about a 15-minute drive away, and during the summer period the coastal Local Health Authority garrisons are reinforced with Medicalized Ambulances of Territorial Rescue and medical guards.
FAQ - Apartments
Apartment Formula or Hotel Formula?
The Oliveto a Mare residences, unless otherwise specified, provide a stay in the Apartment formula, which includes: overnight stay, use of the kitchen, initial supply of bed and bath linens, air conditioning, beach service and access to all common areas including swimming pool, pool bar and garden.
If you also would like to have breakfast and daily tidying up included, simply choose the Hotel formula when you make your reservation.
For guests who choose the Hotel formula, our housekeepers will change sheets about every three days and towels every other day.
Would you prefer to find beach and pool towels as well? You can easily ask for them when booking and travel lighter!
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Arrivals are scheduled from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. and departures by 10 a.m. unless otherwise specified.
If you need to return your keys outside these times, we will be happy to accommodate you with a personalized check-in/out (service fee applies).
What are the features of the kitchen block?
The retractable kitchen unit consists of a small, closable countertop with a single-basin sink, 2-burner glass-ceramic cooktop, microwave oven, immersion blender, refrigerator with freezer compartment (varying in size depending on the type of lodging), pots and dishes. Equipment also includes a kettle pot, nonstick frying pan, colander, salad bowl, moka pot, corkscrew, ladle, skimmer, and fork.
Should I bring my linen?
Bed and bath linens are always provided upon arrival and include one guest towel, one face towel, and one shower towel per person. Kitchen and table linens can be rented if you do not wish to bring your own. Our staff will provide mid-week changes on designated days or upon request- in this case, for a small fee.
Would you prefer not to bring your own beach and pool towels as well? You can easily add them when booking and travel lighter!
Is there a laundry area?
Yes. We have a self-service laundry area with a washer-dryer, iron and ironing board, clothespins and basins. The cost of washing includes: detergents of different types, color-catching sheets, disinfectants and other additives. The use of the iron is free of charge and only allowed in the laundry room, for safety reasons.
Are there any rooms for smokers?
In all rooms (and apartments) smoking is forbidden; however, it is possible to smoke outside (balcony, patio or garden)
Where can I hang out my laundry?
All apartments are equipped with an outdoor clothesline. Forgot your own clothespins? No worries, you will find some in the laundry room.
Where can I shop for groceries?
We recommend hopping on your bike and buying fresh products every morning in the town center (the pedestrian area with stores is 500m away). You can also find a wide range of options at the supermarket, which is only 180 m away and usually open all day.
What if I don't feel like going out or cooking?
We'll take care of it, thanks to the home catering service carried out by a historic restaurant-pizzeria in Ascea: at lunchtime home cooking for the whole family, and you can even have a pizza at dinner! No minimum order is needed, and we will deliver the dishes directly to your doorstep at the appointed times.
Should I carry milk and diaper supplies with me?
Just enough for the first few days: pharmacies and parapharmacies (about 700 m away) have a wide range of products for early childhood, food intolerances or allergies. However, we recommend procuring bath diapers ahead of time.

What are the check-in and check-out times?
Arrivals are scheduled from 3:00 pm to 9:00 pm and departures by 11:00 am, unless otherwise specified.
Our receptionists are available to you from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.: If you need to return your keys outside these times, we will be happy to accommodate you with a personalized check-in/out.
Is there any rule concerning the dress code?
Dressing elegantly is not required. However, we ask that you avoid transiting in the common areas in swimsuits or dirty with sand.
How often is the linen changed?
Rooms and Suites are tidied up daily and supplied with bed and bath linens. Our housekeepers will change bed sheets about every three days and towels every other day.
Would you prefer not to bring your own beach and pool towels as well? You can easily add them when booking and travel lighter!
Do the rooms have an outdoor space?
Rooms and suites have an outdoor space: a patio or a balcony, depending on the type of room.
This space is equipped with a small clothesline with clothespins.
Is smoking allowed in the rooms?
In all rooms smoking is forbidden, mostly because of fire safety reasons; however, it is possible to smoke outside (balcony, patio or garden).
